What is the Renewable Heat Incentive?

The Renewable Heat Incentive (RHI) is a government support scheme for renewable heating projects in England, Wales and Scotland. It does not contribute to initial installation costs, but provides guaranteed annual payments for several years.

There are two separate RHI schemes: Domestic and Non-Domestic. The Domestic RHI is suitable for single residential properties. Heat pump systems serving commercial properties or multiple residential properties will fall under the Non-Domestic RHI scheme.
